Can Do campaign

Hands up if you volunteer. Can Do is an initiative launched by Leonard Cheshire Disability. It offers 16-to-35-year-old disabled people the opportunity to volunteer in their community. To help launch the campaign in 2014, we created a simple visual identity, centred around the idea that the individual can make a difference. With this core thought in mind, our logo puts the individual firmly at the centre of the solution.

Impact

In 2014:

800% increase in website visits during first 6 months since the campaign identity launched

100% of young disabled people stated an increase in self-confidence and reported to have learnt new skills

91% of young disabled people felt less isolated and more engaged in their local community

In 2015:

Engaged over 1000 unique young volunteers with disabilities

Accepted onto the Big Lottery Fund’s scale accelerator programme with goal to reach 24 locations across the UK by 2019
