The Bartlett

Brand strategy

The Bartlett is University College London’s global faculty of the built environment. It was formed in 1841 with a bold and radical agenda. Today, its ten schools and sections operate in distinct fields from architecture and spatial analysis to energy and development. Working with Studio Special, our task was to align faculty communications with The Bartlett’s strategic plan and to achieve balance and clarity in the representation of all schools and sections. We began with an intensive research stage, followed by wide consultation with staff and students, delivering a brand blueprint – which defined their vision, mission and values – as well as guides on tone of voice and an online communications matrix. Here’s to another 170 years of radical spirit.
