The Illuminated River

The Illuminated River is an ambitious £20m design commission on an unprecedented scale: a scheme to light central London’s bridges along the River Thames. We were commissioned at the scheme’s inception to create a brand identity for the project. Working with a close and ever-expanding group of collaborators – including regular digital partners Depot, animators Buff Motion and 3D build specialists Standard 8 – we applied our visual identity across all print and digital communications. The project also saw us creating an exhibition of the shortlisted work for the Southbank Centre. With the announcement of a winning team at a special event in the Tate Modern Switch House in December 2016, the competition will make a significant aesthetic, cultural and financial impact on the capital: we can’t wait to see the results.
