The Rothschild Foundation

Brand identity

It’s not every day that we’re asked to refresh a brand identity that includes a crest whose origins date back to the early 1800s. But then it’s not every day that we’re invited to work with clients as fascinating as the Rothschild Foundation, whose philanthropic reach and impact is remarkable. Following the success of our work on the Illuminated River project with the Foundation, we were given the opportunity to develop the charity’s brand identity. Our visual evolution included a careful redrawing of their iconic Five Arrows crest: a version of the crest had been used by the Rothschild Foundation since its founding in 2010. In addition to this fine-tuning, we also proposed a bold expansion of the Foundation's colour and typographic palettes, the creation of a striking new monogram and new creative messaging.

“Baxter and Bailey undertook a thoughtful evolution of the Rothschild Foundation’s brand identity. Their recommendations achieved a clear aim: to update our classic visual identity whilst remaining sympathetic to our history.”
